Cant Download Unifying Receiver Software From Macbook Pro

Whenever I try to use the Logitech software to add a Unifying device, it simply crashes so I can't get any further. This is driving me mad. The mouse shows up on my iPhone in bluetooth devices and works on other Macs, but I just cannot get my Macbook to recognise it. I have an early 2011 Macbook Pro running OS Sierra 10.12.

  1. Download and install Logitech Unifying software. Press the Easy-Switch button to select a channel. Press the Connect button. The channel number light starts blinking rapidly to indicate the mouse is ready for pairing; On the computer, plug the Unifying receiver into a USB port and follow the onscreen instructions for completing the pairing.
  2. In order for the Unifying software to detect your device, you will need to turn it on. Follow the on-screen instructions (shown below) to turn your device on or off: When your device is detected, you will see a confirmation message as shown below. Click yes, then Next. Click Finish to exit the Logitech Unifying Software.
